This is a hard question. Being a big Walter Payton fan, is probably up ther, or even Eric Dickerson? Bo Jackson would be up there if injurys never ended his career. There is so many to pick from. Anyone else?

I don't know if Barry Sanders was the best ever, but he's the best I've ever watched.

Barry Sanders, hands down. The ONLY reason he didn't break more records was because of his situation with the Lions.

Always been a fullback fan so for me I would say either John Riggins or Larry Czonka.... But as for half backs I would have to go with Sweetness or maybe even Ricky Bell had he lived longer.

Faulk is still the best and smartest back in the league.

Faulk is washed up. he hasnt been his old self for 2 seasons now, I dont see any rebirth in the wings either. The best running back ever, statistically speaking, was Emmit Smith. I think Barry was the best runner, but my favorite was Roger Craig. over 1,000 yards in rushing and reieving! come on, thats awsome.
