I was reading Al Jazeera because I like to be informed from all sides and found a series of articles on Kerry, I am going to post excerpts from two articles first, so OD maybe you can explain away other flips by saying it comes from a right wing rag, but I dont think Al Jazeera fits that description.

Like most of the US political establishment, Kerry is pro-Israeli and sees Palestinian armed resistance to occupation as a key problem. But he also says Israel must curb its settlement policy in accordance with the Bush "road map" plan and criticises the construction of its controversial West Bank wall. (march 2004)

Kerry has also issued statements in support of Israel’s separation barrier currently under construction, another provocative issue in the region. (may 2004)

here is an article written by Al Jazeera.

A popular mainstream Democrat with liberal tendencies, John Kerry has been
widely seen as a good compromise candidate in a divided party.

The Massachusetts senator was the Democrat front runner until rival Howard Dean's campaign caught fire in late 2003. But Kerry bounced back with some early caucus and primary election victories in 2004.

A decorated war hero, Kerry supported the attack on Iraq and wants to see a strong US military, but that hawkish stance is balanced by his promotion of
healthcare coverage, workers' rights and environment-friendly practices.

Though not as charismatic as some of his Democrat rivals, Kerry is well placed
politically between his party's radical left and arch conservatives. And he has the funds to last the whole season if necessary.Iraq war

Kerry backed the Bush's campaign to topple Saddam Hussein. But using some unusually colourful language, he has suggested Bush's handling of the campaign is "f****ed up".

He says Bush misled Americans on the degree Iraq posed threat and accuses
Bush of not working closely enough with the wider international community. He says excluding France and Germany from rebuilding Iraq was "dumb and insulting".

I was stunned at the man who wants to be Presidents language, I had seen these quotes on the right wing sites and discounted it but now I guess since Al Jazeera is not a right wing rag it must have some credence. Is this the way you want a CiC to speak in public? Is that a reputaion we need in the world. Kerry says he can ressurect us from the ashes of Iraq but I doubt the world would view us in deifferently if our President spoke in this manner to them.

B_V...as long as Kerry is caving America to the world and giving them what they want they could care less how he talks. People like you and I would care, but the people that think Clinton's Blow job, lying, and impeachment are a badge of honor would certainly not.
