View Full Version : Where Will Terrorist Strike Next?
Whereas I respect the intelligence and posts of most everyone on the Forum, I would like to pose a question.
Where will terrorist likely strike the U.S next?
What, in your opinion, will be the target(s)?
Will it be largely populated urban areas?
Will it be strategic targets of power plants, military installations, national monuments, transportation facilities(bridges, tunnels etc.),
or rural areas of agriculture, water reservoirs.
Please do not post the opinions of others, let us hear your own personal beliefs.
My view is that they will hit us on several fronts at once if possible. In both rural and urban areas. That they need numbers and memorials to hurt us in both casualties and the heart.
Could be that you do not think they will be able to attack the U.S. again. Either way, let us hear your opinion.
Thanks: Dan

Dan I believe that they may not be able to mount another attack on the scale of 9/11.
But I do believe that the attack is under way and has been for over a year.
I will explain, we showed the world that we are divided on the issue of war during the 60's and 70's. I believe that some of the groups are using this to force a wedge between the American people by committing these simple car bombs and webcasted killings of Americans.
It is a dericive attack and one that will swell like a tsunami approaching land.
If the swell decreases then they will pick another cause and mobilize us against ourselves.
As for actual attacks I feel that suicide bombers in suburban soft targets will be their next area.
It is easy to get in tto these areas, less security and of course most of the money is there.
Of course all of this is nothing more than my humble opinion.

All I know is that when it happens, everyone will say that the government was stupid not to figure it out.
If the terrorists are smart, they'll attack a AA baseball game in Dubuque or something. Impossible to defend against. But they seem to have a weekness for symbolism, so my guess would be that it will be a major building in a big city. Like LA, which is the center of all that is unholy to them.

what i dont get is why....9/11 they say we did not have the when, where, or how but we knew something was going to happen and were critized for that. but now they come out and say to public hey attack may happen BUT we dont know when where or how, now they are critizied for overkill. i mean people what do you want these poor guys to do? I feel for them and would not have the job for anything in the world. (will be going to bed soon im not makeing much sense i dont think lol)

I am going to go along with B_V here and say that suicide bombers are probably the next step. The terror that one or two would instill in the American people is unimaginable. Noone would go to malls, the movies, walk around cities, even go to class at universities. The fear that would strike America is scary to even think about it.

i think that as long as there are soldiers in iraq, the attacks will be in iraq. but when we withdraw from iraq they will follow us, and do things like sabotage (sp?) watter supplies, crops and electic sources, and i think that because it is the simplest way to affect as many people as posible.

They wont wait that long, I fear they will attack us here soon. I am hoping they get caught or the bomb blows up on the way to the targets, in remote areas.
hell, all they have to do is watch the news, they'll tell them where to strike next.....all you heard during the terrorist alerts is," they may strike the water with chemicals", "they may hit a major bridge", "they may hit a train next", "they may contaminate our food supply"," they may send comtaminated letters in the mail", they may dress up like ups and hand deliver mail bombs"...etc. i kept saying to myself, "they're telling them what to do !!...show you how impressionable we are, how about the guy from florida trying to fly his little single engine plane into some building.....stupid. we need to keep our mouths shut with these ideas
I agree korg, sometimes in their zeal to get ratings some news agencies can be pretty stupid.

Big cities. Sport games. Interestingly I think only coastal areas but not the heartlands like midwest farming states, the plains, the moutain states--they are not crowded enough. So if I live there I wouldn't worry about it. BV has a good point however in that large-scale attacks are likely beyond there grasp at the moment. Then suicide bombing. Perhaps target richer suburbs, or big city transportation. It might happen soon, but until then we'll just speculate.

Why do you all seem so sure that terrorists will strike again in the USA ? There is absolutely no evidence or even a clue about this.

You are also right. There might not be any such attack for a long time, if ever. There is not enough information for most of us to predict it.

I would argue Astra, they have said they will strike the heart of the infidels again.
They may not be able to but they want to. So maybe we should be prepared.
Of course they may strike France as well.

Ashcroft said we had a 90% chance of an attack…

He was not able to produce evidence to support this.
Of course more attacks against western countries are possible. And European countries are an easier target since their links with muslim countries are higher - remember the last attck was in Spain.

If they want to strike there's nothing to stop them.
Our border with Canada is not that secure -- probably for the most part wide open. Both coasts, outside the major shipping ports could have a whale beach itself and no one would notice for at least 72 hours. Then there's our border to the south where I could put on my 'no cerveza, no trabajo' ball cap and run across the rio grande to the cheers of the crowd sitting on the metal bleachers, betting on different participants as though it was sport. I've actually witnessed this and in all fairness, it's quite exciting. And if that doesn't work, I'd simply scale the fence and run up the hill to freedom while both the border patrol and la migra stand around picking their noses or other body parts. I've witnessed this too. LMAO.
I won't venture a guess on the exact target but would like to be on record as to it being a blue state. Seems the blue states get the short end of the stick on nearly everything under this administration... wtc attacks, pentagon attack (red state but right in the middle of a very blue area), highest gas prices (CA, prolly NY and IL etc) ... Enron scandal (CA), rolling blackouts (CA again) ...

Thanks BV and I left you a response on the thread about the 2 dudes that hightailed it to Canada. You'll see that I haven't changed any. Just my 2 cents.
Feels good to be back.

Hi Dan
Thanks and I'm getting my notes together and will be posting a rundown of my trip -- probably over in chat central.
