Is it jusst me or does it seem that colin Powell has been efecctively neutered by Bush and his administration? I kinda feel sorry for him, seeing what a great man he is

are you against the war because colin powell was a big supporter of it from the beginning and i have read and heard that he and cheney kind of convinced bush to go again.


also, the same thing happened to condoleeza rice. she is really smart and i could have seen her as a good president.but the dumb 9-11 commitee ruined that

Actuall i read that Colin Powell was agianst the war until 9/11 happened. That single incident totally screwed up everything for a lot of ppl. Colin Powell would have made Pres one day, but now...

dont forget that when bush wins the election a lot of great things are going to happen in his favor. jobs are being created, the economy is doing well, iraq will improve. i truly believe that a man like colin powell could easily become president. he would get all the republican votes, some liberal votes since he is fairly moderate in comparison to bush, and all the minority votes.....that is unless he runs against bill richardson. (bill richardson rules too)

Colin Powell is doing what he needs to do, he is putting distance between himself and the Admin so that he can function more effectivley as Secretary of State. If the world sees him as a puppet of Bush then he will not be taken seriuosly. Most all Sec. of State have done this in time of conflict.
