BV, stop being so rude. “I guess if you are doing something bad you could be worried” what the fuck is that?

In my Social Studies class we researched and found a few cases of people who were being arrested for no reason, given no lawyer, and thrown in jail. The reason for some of these accusations were because they were checking out history books of Saddam Hussein in the library, and then searching about him online. Another was because of what some guy said on a phone call. So I suggest you do some research.

They are hard to find, because most of them are stories and information we are not supposed to see.

Dude was I talking to you? are you feeling guilty? I dont know what your problem is but do me a favor stop trying to pick a fight ok? this person is asking for help with a paper not reading this BS. I was expressing my opinion not being rude.

Oh by the way, I have searched Hussein on the web about a million times since the Patriot Act was passed and I am still a free man. Maybe you are only hearing part of the story.

Yes, it’s not probable but it’s possible they could take you searching him online, and think you are a terrorist. Then put you in jail, not tell you why, give you no lawyer, no phone call and just call it a day.

Or maybe they searched him online and then tried to contact Al Qaeda and join? Hmmm could that be it? Because I dont think we have enough jails to hold everyone who searched Hussein on google. That is just ridiculous.

Again, it is not just that, it is a lot of things. I’m not saying everyone who searches him on Goggle will get arrested and thrown in Jail. But the Government under this act, COULD potentially use that as a sign of him or anyone of supporting terrorism, and throw anyone in jail for no reason but that.

One criticism I have about this survey is that I don't see a difference between answering "no" and "nodifference" to some of the questions.

No. I suppose I'm not worried because sites I visit won't get me in trouble with the government (such as looking up things related to terrorism or staging public protests).
