Korg, i understand what you are saying. people get screwed all the time. It is like that saying, it is not what you know, it iswho you know. I was hopimg people could wait a week before they start to disinfigure him. o.k. now i am done. We can let it rest. I just wanted my two cents. I do have a idea for a thread. what is it that you dont like about the city you live in. anything goes. different points of veiws, politics, minority conflicts etc. I was wandering what you would think about it.

MIght be a good idea, under chat central or something like that.
Anyone remember what Reagan did when the hostages were released in Iran?
He could have gone te Germany and greeted them but he called Carter and told him," You have worked on this situation, so it is only right that you greet them in Germany."
I think this also shows his sense of right.
WITH the eyes of millions of Americans on her, Nancy Reagan bowed and touched her cheek to her husband's coffin to start a week-long farewell to Ronald Reagan that will culminate in an extravagant state funeral in Washington on Friday (early on Saturday AEST)
In a poignant moment after the first religious service honouring the former US president, his frail 82-year-old widow wept as she lifted her head from the flag-draped mahogany casket.
This is what we should be considering when we lose our tempers and want to attack the man, he was a man, husband and father and we need to remember that what we say may hurt others.
peace.

He was a great liar, I'll tell you that. It's funny the 300,000 victims Regan helped kill with his funding, never had this much recognition when they died.
I'm just providing a voice for the lost dead of that time.
Or the mental patients he let out, or the suffering of AIDs Americans have now, because he did nothing when it first came to America.
I refuse to mourn someone, who has caused so much death, for almost no reason. People that I know have AIDs, and if Reagan had worked to stop the spread of AIDs while it first came here, he might not have it.
Sorry, I respect Reagan as a man, but what he did needs to be known.

If you respected him you would shut up until the time is right.
TO sit and call anyone a liar and more this near his funeral shows a complete lack of class or even feeling.
You may not respect him, how about his wife, children and those who were close to him. Why cant you let them mourn without someone talking bad about the one they loved.

(closed), Buffalo china (moved to china) lol not really, but some asian country. and also during that time, chevy had massive layoffs.....so i, and many others would agree with you..........but i do hear bv's point, so , the day after the funeral, we can let fly.....lol.....just kidding. hope you stay on man.

While I agree that OD has an opinion and has the right to share it, at least wait until the funeral, etc. is over and don't be sooo damn nasty about it. Politicians (and humans) are not perfect and what Korg said earlier that may be where we differ.....i dont think polititians go in thinking of doing right by the country, because once political patronage steps in, now you owe someone, and the more patronage, the more people you owe. is right on. Ever hear of blackmail? One hand washing the other? Do this for me and I'll do double for you? To think that countries/governments can maintain the top of the heap without this type of philosphy is ludicrious...whether the practice is wrong or right, it's all politics. And, blame game.

A man could be elected to political office knowing that he must play to the game of politics. But, if in those games of politice he can do some things that better the situation of the American people he has been a success. That is about the only way a modern politician can advance his personal agenda,by playing the game. Its the nature of the system.

The New York Times quotes Ron Reagan, son of the late president, blasting George W. Bush:
"What's his accomplishment? That he's no longer an obnoxious drunk?"
"The Bush people have no right to speak for my father...These people are overly reaching, overly aggressive, overly secretive and just plain corrupt. I don't trust these people."

Ok son Ron Jr. bashed Bush, well he is also an atheist so maybe we should all stop believing in God as well. Ron has never been real stable, the only child Reagan was real close to was Michael.
