How would he get this footage? Think about it, maybe same place he gets his funding. I truly hope this is invetigated.

Check out the story Moore has unused Berg footage (http://entertainment.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=159562)

I saw that in the paper yesterday. Whether you're pro-invasion or anti-invasion, I still can't imagine thinking that he was the best person to give the footage.

It's like this guy's main purpose in life was to be against Bush in every way imaginable...not like he could really influence anyone anyway.

I just dont see how he got footage that others couldnt get, does he have an inside link to the terrorist? I just dont know if I would have even taken the footage if I was him, it allows those(like me ) who already think he is anti-american to go the extra mile and now put him in bed with Al Qaeda.
And what does "private talks with the family" mean? That statement also has implications of being in it for the money.

It's my understanding that this is an interview that he conducted with Mr Berg a few months before he was killed.

I think there is a level of restraint that is commendable for someone in his position. How many times have we watched the media purposely exploit footage of a person who has become part of the spotlight?

If that's how he got the footage, then yes, he really is showing a commendable amount of restraint.

Its real hard for me to say commendable and restraint when speaking of Moore. It is odd though that he would have interviewed the one man who was beheaded later on. And this same man was connected to Mousawi (sic). Not saying that Berg was doing any harm just find this rather odd, very very odd.

Well, you know, Moore says all kinds of things that aren't exactly true. I find it essentially impossible to believe 99.99999% of what falls out of his ass.. er... mouth. This is one more case where I'd have to have some pretty serious outside verification that Moore's claims are fact, before I'd consider believing them.

I agree -- not sure Moore can ever be believed. BUT, BV, you have a good point. All of this speculation about Berg being connected to Al-Qaida thru the e-mail account, etc. makes you wonder. Too many extreme coincidences IMO.

Well in science there are no coincidences, if it appears connected it is.
