First: I don't think anyone is denying that the original deal was to go to Iraq for WMD. Second: We now know there isn't any WMD (supposedly). Third: Bush probably did flip-flop his reasoning to stay in Iraq - to liberate the Iraqi people and free them from this terroristic regime. And, that alone isn't a bad reason. The man is a sadist. Besides, he had to justify spending all the money we spent at the outset. Since we were there, may as well set the Iraqi people free and capture Saddam. Fourth: The damage has been done!! We started the war, we need to finish it the RIGHT way and restore respect to our country...otherwise the soldiers deaths will be in vain. Fifth: We need to stop bitching about all of the has-beens and past mistakes and start focusing on bringing positiveness to this problem. Bitching and moaning about Bush's screw ups isn't restoring morale to anyone - military, constitutents or otherwise. We need to get over it and focus on moving forward. We can't turn back the clock.
