No, I do not think the average person likes to kill.
Yes, there are always those that profit from war.
But, you must also include those that lose from war.

Can I speak as person who has been in combat, only a very few like to kill. The average American soldier hates it and has to live with ghosts of those that have died by your hand. The eyes if you are close enough can haunt you forever, it is an awful thing and I find it sad that we link it to profit.
Please remember that war is horrible and not only destroys those who are conquered but also damages the victor. No one wins in war only goals are achieved.
