Im reading the Divine Comedy now. I just wanted to know if there was anyone on here that has read it and if so did you like it or not?

I own it. But never seriously read through it. I'd prefer reading great literature untranslated. The translator of the version I own has done a very good job, but it's still not the real thing, you get the feeling much is lost after translation. Divine Comedy is good to read because many writers thereafter put references to its passages in their works which you wouldn't be able to spot had u not read Divine Comedy.
