Greetings, my PC has been very slow lately, and I ave tried to defragment multiple times. at first it would go for hours and get half way and stop, giving me an error, now it jjust goes on and on and never gets past 0%. I really want to just tune up my PC but cant get past this siple step, any ideas what would casue this?

Programs running in the background would be my guess. Ctrl+Alt+Delete and End Task on all processes except Explorer and Systray, disable your screensaver, then try defragging.
