Dont look now but those hated Yankees are resting comfortably in first place in the AL East. To all those who have had their laughs earlier in the season, its now time for the pain. :D

Really? I didn't know that being TIED for first was "resting comfortably in first place".

Its really all a matter of perspective. :D Much better than the 4 1/2 games they were down 5 days ago.

But not so much a comfortable rest in 1st place anymore...thank you A's!!!

Baseball would be a much more interesting game if they would balance the teams with a salary cap. I'm sick of hearing about the Yankees having the ability to buy all the best players from the other teams. And I'm sick of teams like Montreal and Minnesota not able to keep any of their good players. Oh well, maybe MLB will realize one day that unfair competition doesn't sell well.

What are you talking about? MLB is selling out almost all their venues except for Montreal and the other teams where the owners stick their surplus of revenue in their pockets instead of investing it back into their team. It has been proven that owning a MLB franchise is very profitable. Its not the Yankees, Red Sox, or Angels fault that 60% of the owners are cheap asses who could care less about W's.
