Anyone know why in the last two years or so more and more bands/artists have been packaging their CDs in the cardboard cases rather than the plastic ones? Just curious.

It's cheaper yet they can still charge you the same... greedy bastards just put them in plastic.... The bands I listen to are yet to do so.

mm...yeah. Dave Matthew's Everyday cd was like that...only...it had like a paperish cover over the plastic. So it had both.

Blink-182's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket cd was in cardboard. I like them better cause the plastic cases break if ya put um in a bag or drop em.
