At this moment, I would like to gloat for two reasons. One, the Rays are tied for 3rd in the AL East with the Yanks. Two, the Yanks are under .500.

All i can really say is live it up as much as you can right now. This will not be the story 2 months from now. I dont think its possible for 5 out of the starting 9 to play any worse than they are right now. A-Rod is showing signs of waking up. And Kevin Brown/Javy Vasquez look like great trades.Soon as Mussina and Contreras get their collective heads out their asses and start actually acting as if they can pitch again this will be the scariest team in baseball. Oh yeah, did i mention Jon Leiber will be back next week? Look out AL east, the behemoth is awakening soon.

You heard it here first haters: Yankees will win this division by 10+ games this year.

I will revell in the fact the Yankees are under .500 for now but I know that they will be a great team this year. As for winning the division by 10+ games I think that is doubtfull.

Oh and Go SOX!!:D

Nah, the Yanks have cracked. Mussina does not a rotation make. IMO, he's one of the most susceptible to psychological pressure in the game. He's fine only so long as everything else backs him up.

Giambi and Bernie Williams are dying out. I don't think they have more than half the season in them.

Jeter's hitless streak. Need I say more?

Boone and Soriano for A-Rod and . . . that . . . guy. Yeah, that's working out well. Isn't it interesting how the Astros and the Rangers are all in the lead right now? (5/1)

Will the Yanks claw their way back up? Eh, stranger things have happened. Namely, the Detroit Tigers started off the season moderately well. However, I think it's safe to say that it's certainly not inevitable barring rediculous screw-ups on the part of Boston and who knows? Baltimore?

On the other hand, Vazquez and Brown are looking superb.

The Yanks are now running away with the league and it's as painful to watch as ever.

If he doesn't make the All-Star team this year, and yet people like Giambi (.237 AVG, 11 HR) do, I shall go on a rampage, and the first person killed will be that moron Selig.

on baseball tonight they madse their allstar pick and thye had crawford as a starter. it most likely wont go that way (he maynot even make it), but his numbers are impossible to overshadow. the devil rays are gonna be a scary team for opponents in two years. of course last night's score wasnt too good.....

You heard it here first haters: Yankees will win this division by 10+ games this year. Not to blow my own horn or anything....LMAO.....but my prognostication skills are looking better and bettter every day. 7 game lead at the all star break. :woohoo:

Make that a, what, 3 game lead? My only critique of Boston is their rocketship success happened too early. There's far too much time left to choke before the postseason. If they started really kicking butt now, the momentum would take them into the postseason. As is, they've got just enough time to doubt themselves. Then again, maybe the Garciaparra trade (or as I call it, the Mientkiewicz trade) will hole up their defense and keep em in line.
