I'm sure many of you have heard of today's big story in the world of sports. Pat Tillman, a professional football player (safety) for the Arizona Cardinals, turned ranger serving in Afghanistan, was killed in action today during a small arms attack that took place.
Tillman turned down a $3 Million + Contract to play football to serve his country for significantly less. While other players are whining about how they didn't get placed in the position or team they wanted to be, Tillman was out there serving our country for what he believed was right, literally having his life on the line every day. While other players complain about not making enough money in their careers, Tillman, again, was out serving his country for only a fraction of the money.
I consider this guy a hero for what he did, and how he inspired us all, not just for what he did on the field, but off it as well. He will be greatly missed.
