I have to go with Pirates and Sleepy Hollow. He wasn't too bad in Once Upon a Time in Mexico either. I didn't like Ninth Gate or From Hell though.

Come on, Pirates wasn't that good. Just that Depp was hot, and so was "Legolas"(whatever his name is). Oh, and the pretty graphics at the end...

Edward Scissorhands. I haven't seen that movie in years. Still, even though I can't remember specifics(as in basically the entire movie), I do remember it was Excelent(yes, capital E worthy).

The movie Ninth Gates of Hell sucked, but even though the movie sucked, Depp was good. He tends to do that a lot, sucky movie, good actor.

Edward Scissorhands is a great movie, Maybe tim Burton's best (while Batman II was great too).
Has anyone seen "Lost in La Mancha", the documentary about Terry Gilliam's failed attempt to shoot "Don Quijote" (with Johnny Depp) ? The movie would have been great, the documentary is great too.

I liked him very much in Pirates. A great grotesquely funny peformance was worth a mention though, in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, although the movie itself wasn't that good.

I think I saw that on tv. They had ALOT of problems. I think they're still trying to get it off the ground though.

I'd nominate "Blow" for this category...wasn't exactly a favorite of mine but I found it interesting.

Pirates was wonderful, so was Edward Scissorhands. I really enjoyed his performance in Don Juan DeMarco.

Hiya all! I'm new here...so yeah...hehehe. Anyway....

I like Pirates of the Caribbean the best. From Hell was awesome as well, I love that movie---exept for the parts that showed too much blood--which was technically most of the movie...hehehe, but I still liked it. But Crybaby wasn't that bad...I couldn't stop laughing while I was watching it.

I have to admit that I was taken in by his portrayal of the pirate life, but I think his best acting job was "Whats eating Gilbert Grape".
