i like both filmserie they are m y best films and dificult to make a choice. i think Star war have better spéciaux then LOR. i like the many strange participant and charactors in Star wars but some LOR have better acteurs.

That's kind of like comparing apples and oranges for numerous reasons. First of all, the last three Star Wars films (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) were filmed long before any of the LOTR films. Not to mention the fact that there are only three LOTR movies (with a fourth on the way) while there are five Star Wars movies (with a sixth on the way).

But I'd have said Star Wars before The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, which sucked. So LOTR for me. :)

I've loved the original Star Wars (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) since I was a kid. And now I love the LOTR trilogy. They're my two favorite triologies. SW was state of the art when it was first made and the same goes for LOTR. They were both something new. Most people thought LOTR couldn't be made into a live action movie, until it was done. So, I'm not even going to choose between them. SW is my favorite old trilogy and LOTR is my favorite new trilogy. :)

I can't get into star wars, new or old. LOTR was pretty average for me (I don't get much into that stuff).

The Star Wars movies are definitely my favorite sci-fi movies. Lord of the Rings are my favorite fantasy movies. I keep them seperate. I like them both so much I don't think it's worth trying to decide.

The Star Wars movies, definately. I didn't bother to see the Return of the King, I was so disgusted by the LOTR trilogy. When it didn't have dirty, unshaven men running. It featured oh-so-pretty women prancing around. When it wasn't doing that, the movies were downright boring, or way over dramatic. To give credit to the LOTR fans, everyone ELSE (and I watched from lack of anything else to do) seemed absolutely absorbed in the first two films. So I guess they were seeing something I wasn't. Dammit.
