I have to believe in God, because if I do not, then there can't be a hell. My anger is so great sometimes. There has to be justice in the end.

Ironically, that's why I do NOT believe the common beliefs of Heaven and Hell. I don't want a murderer-child rapist, on their deathbed, to declare Jesus their Lord, and have to share Heaven with him. Likewise, I don't think a loving God would condemn to Hell someone who volunteers down at the homeless shelter, contributes to his community, is a loving father and husband, etc., simply because he is an athiest, or in the wrong denomination. KWIM?

Your first sentence implies that it is important for hell to exist. It's almost as if you are saying that if beliving in God does not necessarily make hell be, then you might think twice about beliving in God. (inspect your first sentence) Why is hell important, in your opinion? For example, what would you personally lose or gain if hell does not exist? I mean, among all the concepts a religion with a god may bring, you singled out the existance of hell as the most important.

Also, I want to mention that concept of hell exists in religions with no god as well. Therefore if you do not believe in God, there can still be a hell. I am not even going to ask you about your second and third sentences, which are even more cryptic than the first.

I was spouting of at the mouth really. I was having such a bad day the other day. I have cancer and sometimes people are so ignorant. The most prestigious people in town, to me happen to be the most evil. Also, my pharmacy, and health insurance can rott if you know what I mean.
I really hope that there is a heaven and a hell. Sometimes this world is sooo wacked. I don't want to be sitting in heaven with child molesters either.

Actually, the concept of a hell exists in only two religions that I know of, Islam and Christianity. I am not to sure about Judism, but I highly doubt so, it doesn't exist in the old testament that I have seen. They all have an afterlife, but Christianity and Islam take it to extremes, good people and bad people in two completely different locations. Hades was one spot, the Egyptians only had one spot, the Norse also, etc. And they only had one god in control of it, and it was never an evil god. Generally, the head god was more evil, I mean, Hades did practically nothing except take Persephonie(Something like that), while Zeus raped countless people as animals, and killed countless more.

nope, Jews don't have hell. and it's not really "heaven", per se, but just being with god.

Holy fuck, I never noticed that. In the KJ version of the bible: Genisis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." That's what I get for not bothering to read the bible again.
I remember Elohim being plural, I just never thought it was in the christian bible, it was in the gnostic bibles though. So, they just translated God wrong... where it says God in some places in the old testament, it should say Gods. Then it continues with Lord God.
Now then, I don't know hebrew but, if I was able to see it right, in the torah we have לֹהִים which I think is Elohim, it has the consonants lhm.

Then I've had some pretty great days in Hell, but then again....some have been .....hell. But I have often thought that. That life was a purifier of some sense. Like the fires of hell might be. Continually testing our souls. Defining our celestial beings before we enter Heaven. Maybe the life after is whether you choose to stay here, or whether you chose to go there? Or whether you don't choose because you think it's all a butch of shit.

yeah, i hope we have a choice after death at least ))
Oh I MOST definitely think we do. It's all based on choices. Life....death....you name it. We just get pissed at things we feel we can't control.

"Hell" is the feeling of being disconnected from the source. Those in "Hell" are those who have stepped out of the light.
God wants you to be with us.
No one calls you to Hell or makes you stay. You decide.

I think of Satan as a brother. We are made by the same God, but he's always in trouble and trying to get me in trouble too. As far as God....He is my Father. I try really hard to give to him and please him. I don't come close....so then I lean on my other brother Jesus. (please be kind)

intresting view... but i believe that God and Satan are two sides of one medal... since the absolute good involves evil, and absolute evil involves good... in other words, there is no good without evil and vice versa
Yes, I agree that there cannot be one without the other. I just don't think they are equal to each other. I think good is greater than evil and that one day evil will be conquered by good.

If a asteroid the size of Texas hit Earth we'd consider that evil. An asteroid isn't evil it's a big ass rock. It has no inclination at all.
Same thing with the Humans. They are all at least mildly retarded and they do awful things. They have always been bloodthirsty, killcrazy, and powerhungry. "Why?" shout to the heavens.
It's like lion taming. We are all surprised when we hear a big cat tried to chew the top of some performer's head off... but not THAT surprised. It's a freaking lion (or tiger).
We are the most ruthless predator Earth has ever spawned. Why would you think we would ever be tame? Things are going pretty well considering the material society has to work with, it's a wonder we are not all running down the freeway totally nude drunk on tequila with handguns.
The cool part is that the vast majority of the Humans are taught to behave.
Evil is relative. Back to the lion: lion chews on a mouse like a piece of Hubba Bubba.
Mouse thinks it's evil
Lion thinks it's good

well i saw this question...its a very common one. I do believe in a hell. However, do not worry that you will be judged on your anger. Because ive found peace in the Christian faith, my God does not judge you on how you might act in a circumstance. He only asks that you ask for forgiveness and love him. God will not judge you because you get angry. He wont even judge you because you commit HORRIBLE crimes. If you ask him to forgive you and you mean it, and you ask him to come into your life and be your savior, he will forgive you. He will only judge those who do not take him to be his savior. Scary yes, true yes. There is a hell, and it is full of "weaping and gnashing of teeth." if you are interested in finding anymore info on this email me

If such a god existed, I would refuse to worship it because it obviously is an egomaniacal, sadistic sonofabitch who creates man, throws a few religions into the mix, and invites you to "pick one. If you guess wrong, welcome to Hell!" I would not worship that god on general principle, no matter if I got sent to Hell or not.

might Hell not be relevant?
Your Hell might be different from mine......
I think hell is like chasing a fix that your never gonna get...
Or torture like an itch that is just out of reach....some small insignificant moment that over time and repetition is magnified or amplified to cause you the very heights of madness......who knows right.......

I think there is a lot more to it than that if you learn more about Christianity. But I can understand why you think that. God tells you he is a jealous God. He tells you that he has a problem with you worshiping other Gods, and I can see where people would be turned off by that. I had a hard time with that one myself. But if you are going to believe in something, should it not stipulate some boundaries. I don't think God put you on this earth to set you up for failure or to say, now this one...he's not going to believe in my Son....but I'm still going to throw him down there so I can send him to Hell. I think God gives us many opportunities to learn about Him and it is our decision what we believe or don't believe. But He also knows your heart. He knows your struggles with Him, and I believe it's part of the plan. I choose to believe in Jesus because of personal experiences in my life that prove to me He exists. You are very young and you are exactly where you need to be in regards to what you believe and what you don't. However, there is anger there for you. Wonder why? It's just that you are such an intelligent person to throw out such a belligerent statement. (with all due respect)
