I appreciate the fact that regardless of age this site is unbiased debating. Other sites disregard your views because you are young. I myself joined this site when I was sixteen, but with the exception of a grq scheme I have been heard out and respected with my views, as long as they weren't stupid. 'Preciate it guys.

I think there are more people under 18 than there are over 18, so me complaining about someone's age would probably backfire. Besides, by and large the teenagers on this site seem to provide more intelligent debate.

Respect is earned, not given out freely.

I think back to the type of person I was at 17, and I was very different in the views that I held to be absolute.

question question question everything.

nice of you to be so optimistic Imp, but unfortunately most kids my age aren't very thoughtful or independent. most teenagers just want to fit in, and that means thinking and acting like everyone else. it is encouraging that some people aren't like that, but unfortunately it's human nature.

I remember there was a friend of mine in the army who listened to the smiths, hearing that fruitcake morrisey whining made me want to pull out a frag grenade and jump on it

AAHH!! YOU INSULTED THE MOZER!! DEATH ON YOU!!! Morrissey is god, and I'm an athiest. you must have been dehydrated when you were lsitening to them, because the Smiths are genius. beautiful melodies, smart introspective lyrics, what else can you ask for in a band?

I think I'll agree with Trav on this one. When my generation becomes the leaders, I think I'll shoot myself. That or move to an island in the middle of the pacific ocean that is made out of used tires and a giant supercomputer... the second one sounds more appetizing...

The scary thing is that I can actually read that ;)

Anyway, I think people of any age can offer valuable insights and opinions. Conversely people of any age can also say incredibly stupid things (including myself I freely admit). Luckily on a site like this the other members can keep the stupid comments under controll (usually quite vocally) and anyone who isn't willing to listen and learn, as well as give opinions, isn't likely to last long. Leaving the best members. :)

An old fart walks in to the conversation :)

I love kids, to them the world is new. What they don't realize, is that once we were kids too. And the reality of the things, is that we were like you. :)

Who you are now, and who you will be, when you are our age, only the future will see. Because time plays a game, on both you and me. :)

Have fun guys enjoy it while it lasts! :) acaveyogi

The problem is that you young folks don't expect to live to be twenty-five years old let alone thirty, "Party now I am on limited time". What you young folks are not aware of is the "Hundred Years War" and patience. :) What you don't realize is the power of the "wisdon of age" if you stay focused. Or you are going to need an old wizard who is on your side if you don't want to wait. All young kings who were successful had a good wizard, they just did! :) acaveyogi

maturity is the ability to know when it's ok to be really really really immature.

Oooo, I like that one. I'm never immature in... um... uh... Life or death situations! At the funeral... maybe... Oh, that doesn't apply to me. Maturity is relative!

Let me think when I'm not immature...at my mom's funeral, for one...during Precalc (because my teacher yells at me if I am)...when I'm putting together a computer...and when I'm driving. That's about it, really. A full, comprehensive list. :D

John? I can easily run away from him, plus he's...not strong. If you sicced Tom on me, then I'd be screwed...oh, great, I gave you the idea...

What's great is that Tom might listen to me...

BorgHunter

Tom has better things to do...like harrass freshmen and steal their food. He seems to do that a lot...

Boy guys I really stepped in it this time! :) I thought that BorgHunter had a Ph.D. in Astophysics and worked for NASA. Boy son you have a very stable mind for a young person. I will be 55 in august and the first time that I experienced sanity was feb./22/2002, I remember the day. I claim to be a creative genius and I am getting my butt whipped by fifteen year olds. :) There is no mercy! acaveyogi

BorgHunter

So you weren't sane until 2/22/2002, eh? Interesting time to pick. And a Ph.D. in Astrophysics? You have have me confused with Trillian from the Hitchhiker's Guide.

And as for Lionel & silverbullet, shaddapayouface. Mods and their friends talk when and where they want to. :D
