just want your opinions. And please base it on facts, not your personal hatred of this guy.

Heh, no pitchers included I see. Too bad, since pitcher is the most important position. Homerun hitters are just glory hounds.

awww come on Leper. Well should I mention Satchel Paige or Cy Young? But then again, I DO have a pitcher on the poll. You have heard of this guy by the name of George Herman Ruth right? Better known as Babe Ruth? ;)

Maybe he meant he wanted to see someone who was best for pitching alone.

Of course, the Babe made his name hitting not pitching. They're all pitchers if put them on the mound. In fact, I want to say Bonds has thrown a couple of innings already.
Yes, i would like to see more pitchers. Since I'm not too into baseball history, I have more recent examples leap to mind: Pedro Martinez, Nolan Ryan, and Roger Clemens. I would say Pedro may have the most dominating single season of any player.
The year the ball was juiced and people were racing for the single season homerun record, Pedro was quietly putting up an ERA in the one's while the average was in the four's. That was the really unforgettable performance that year IMO.
But you can go on about homerun hitters, everyone else does. But we all know the winning teams do it with pitching, not hitting.

Cough!..Atlanta Braves choke on good pitching ever year..Cough! What makes it so bad is that the Braves are my favorite team.

Bonds is by far the best player ever to play while using steroids.

Bonds is just the flavor of the month this season like Sosa was and McGuire was. Sosa tainted himself last year with ''The Bat.'' Bonds tainted himself this year with the whole steroids issue. Both will be stuck with those ''issues'' as long as they play. But I think the positive attention any get is good for baseball in general.

Bonds hasn't had anything tainted. We don't even know for sure he's used steroids. We don't see people on the news saying "Bonds hit his xth home run today, but was steroids the real home run hitter?" The storm clouds are gathering, but the lightning hasn't struck yet. He's just as great of a player as he's always been.
