seems the familys of 9-11 victims are not happy with Richard Clarke and his attempt to cash in on the 9-11 tragedy by releasing his book to coincide with the 9-11 hearings. I normally dont post such things, though I come across them often, but felt I had to after all the posts about the2 9-11 families who were outraged at bush and his 1 second clip of 9-11, and how we were all so outraged and offended by it.

An intersting information in this article :
"a Newsweek poll released yesterday found that 65 percent of Americans say Clarke's testimony hasn't affected their opinion of the president. "
So it means that 35% had their opinion affected. And I guess that their opinon was not positively affected… 35% is a lot for presidential elections !

In fact if 50% of people already had a negative opinion of Bush, their opinion has not been affected since they already thought he was a crook. So in the other 50%, 35% have changed their mind. It only lets 15% who still believe Bush's version…:)

with all the media spin and attention are you suprised? a guy who voted for gore, gets a million bucks for his book and we are suppossed to believe he has no agenda? I dont know if you have noticed, but people who voted for al gore arent real happy that bush is in the white house. sometimes I get the idea they feel betrayed, and betrayel is not going to draw out the best in people. then there is a book released to coincide with the 9-11 commision, which he claims is coincidence. they guy is so easily discredited yet the media keps it alive as long as possible.

Trav, you constantly talk about spin in the "liberal media" and you post this thread in an attempt to show that all the victims families are outraged at Clarke. Talk about spin.

Here is a quote from a victim herself:

"This is the best testimony ever!" exclaimed an emphatic, limping April Gallop after Clarke's testimony. A petite former EF4 Specialist at the Pentagon, she was medically retired after being injured in the attack on the Pentagon. "He was honest. He admitted it! He apologized – something nobody has done since 2001. That's a real leader.

This doesn't prove that the "families" believe one thing or another, it's just one persons opinion. I'm sure that some of the families like Clarke and some of them don't.

i dont trust polls. I dont know y ne one does. There are too many variables to make them at all accurate. The only poll that DOES matter is the one taken in November.
