Those mass-graves?

Yep......it was Bushit-as-usual......or, what those in-country call selective-amnesia!!!! (http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=125&article=21231)

"A careful reading of the cited U.S. Agency for International Development report reveals a curious fact. The dates of these tragic events began in the 1980s and ended in 1991, the years of the Reagan and first Bush administrations. Certainly Saddam Hussein was responsible for murders and tortures until the day he took up residence in his hole. But the mass graves date from the Iran-Iraq War, the first Gulf War, and the Kurdish and Shiite rebellions."

so I guess that makes it OK then. its sounding more and more like saddam wasnt the villian we thought he was, and was more a victim of the republican spin machine, lets let him out of his cell and put him back in power since he really brought stability and security to the iraqi people everyone is so concerned about being killed these days.

Shammy...upon flipping through the channels on a saturday morn, I noticed that on some lame cartoon station, there is an anime-type cartoon with "warriors" brandishing swords and the latest samurai technology on all their enemies...called "Shaman King." By chance, is this where you got your oh so clever and unique name??? You think you're a warrior able to defeat the strong of the nation and aid the weak and down-trotted???? ARE YOU A CARTOON IDLE?!?!?!

I guess that depends. Were they anywhere near Chaco Canyon? If so, what was their peyote-intake?

Is that the same canyon that's 8 feet deep with steel-reinforced concrete with a rough stucco surface? If so, please tell me they had that installed with a permaflex and a polyurethane coat, cause if they didn't they got robbed!:D

No. I don't believe steel was an available building-material, in the Begining.

We're probably talkin' about two different things.......again.......

ONe thing that shammy and all the others opposed to the war and who beleive bush lied have not addressed is bush's motivation for lying.

Please shammy, could you offer some insight into his motivation for lying?

Saddam? Oh yes, the reason Bush originally gave for invading Iraq! Actually, we went in for WMDs, Saddam was just a side benefit.

I don't think Bush was lying, technically. Ignorance doesn't make for a lie, just an untruth.

That's great, but the question remains as to why he would deliberately do it. What is the motivation for his 'untruth'?

I don't think he deliberately did. That's why I said "ignorance". He didn't know what he was saying was untrue.
