Ralph Nader, who is currently on a southern tour of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, spoke in Raleigh at North Carolina State on Thursday evening. He focused on the challenge of bringing more choices and voices to our presidential race and the influence of corporations over our politics and culture. CSPAN will be showing this speech Tonight, Friday, March 26th, at approximately 8:30pm and 11:30pm eastern standard time.

I've always brushed off Nader as the underdog in races, which although he is, doesn't warrant my ignorance of his policies. This thread has encouraged me to read about what Nader is about. Maybe he is the ideal alternative to Bush, even moreso than Kerry? I'm surprised he's decided to run as an independent though, the Green Party has much better funding sources for him to use.

Yeah but the greens aren't deciding on who is running until June. One thing Nader wished he had done in the last election was run sooner.

Yes, he's running as an independent since the "Everything that happens to you is someone else's fault" party doesn't exist yet.

I don't get that impression from Nader. I see him as empowering people to take a more active role in government.

He isn't.
Someone has got to remind the democrats that the right isn't the way to go.
