I think my next vacation will be in Canada...:woohoo:
I would half like cannabis to be legalised, however I believe that the cannabis used my most westeners is considerably weaker due to restricted production methods/weakening to maximise profit than pure cannabis. I wonder if it were legalised pure cannabis would become more available, and the strength of this may be underestimated. I would suspect that if it were legalised cases of mental illness such as pyschosis would increase considerably.

Canada rocks! Although I certainly wouldn't recommend a visit to the Great North for any ultra conservative. Taking a whiff of marijuana and waking up to find you're married to someone of the same sex might not bode too well for any right winger lol.

well.
i am no political legal savvy by any means, but here is a law that I paid particular attention to.
It's not legalized.
It is decriminalized.
That means that if you are busted carrying or possessing 30gms or less (that's over an ounce!) instead of being arrested, tried and jailed as before, you are instead fined and go free.
This is great however don't ever make the mistake of posessing a scale or any baggies or transporting these items with you in accompaniment to your stash. Then you are in trouble. Any means of distribution or sale is a bad nono.
trafficking is not allowed.
So that means you can't sell it but you can have it and own it.
Not allowed to sell it but you can buy it.
A lot less bullshit in the courts choking up already backed up system.

I dont do drugs. i used to do drugs, back in the days when I voted for ralph nader for prez. I have always been a conservative in spirit, but wasnt really tuned into all the specifics about the partys until the 2000 election. before that I was just making my way through life, without a care in the world. after seeing al gore try to make it so the military votes didnt cont in florida, then try to recount after recount unitl a number that suited him came up, that was the last straw. seeing thise people in florida with magnifying glasses attempting to discern a microscopic hole in the space next to gores name so they could give him that ballot was maddening. it was a mockery of our entire system.

its not born again, it is the natural order of things. people grow up, and when they have to deal with reality long enough just turn conservative. the old liberals are usually college professors who have never been away from a college campus their entire lives, so they know nothing of reality, or they are old crazy loon like shaman and nem. I am not saying that there are no older liberals who are normal, jsut not as many as there are older conservatives.

Not for nothing but those votes were late. Law is very specific. The voter card must be postmarked with the date of the election to be valid.
There were a lot of issues in 2000 around Florida that made the whole system a mockery. It's a shame Gore didn't go after the real problem of voter fraud and the removal of thousands of non or ex felons illegally from the voter rolls. http://www.unprecedented.org/
