Which do you prefer?

I like cooperating with others. A number of years ago I worked in a commission based retail outlet and our department worked on cooperation. We would let eachother know what was in stock, which products "paid" us more. We would assist in sales when others were struggling. It wasn't necessary to split every sale, or rush each customer who came in. The system we employed worked out well and we all benefited.

I heard somewhere that students in highschool would participate more in sports, if it wasn't so competitive. I probably would have done the same thing. I mean it is after all, only a game.

What about the team sports? Its both cooperation and competition.

Well I guess I mean on a more interpersonal level. How do you react with people around you?

Cooperation is definitely better. They re-organized everything at work and now we're actually getting stuff done instead of blaming each other for what gets screwed up. Amazing how well that works.

Cooperation to defeat the competition.

On a personal level, competition is better. I like how my skills in any given situation stack up against most people and feel that i can acomplish much more relying only on myself to get a job done.

If, however, i were working for a company and part of my job required me to work with others on projects i would perform well and enjoy interaction on the job. I know i can adapt to most situations well and have no problems working either way.

cooperation. i hate competition. i just like chillin wid mah homies, and lately there's been nothing that depresses me more than having to compare myself to other people. i just wanna relax and stuff, and its hard to relax when youre competing all the time
