More than 600 prisoners are being held at Camp X-ray, without trial or legal representation.
What are your thoughts on this, do you think the Guantanamo imprisonment legal, or is it a violation of international law?

If they're prisoners of war, than they are breaking international law. But the US keeps saying that they are just prisoners, and it isn't a war. Just so they can keep out of the Geneva convention.

Well, that's just facts. Do YOU think it's fair? Do you believe that the explanation the US has given as them being "illegal combattants" is just?

The detention of the prisoners at Guantanamo is wrong because it violates international law and everything the US stands for.

Absolutely.
Not even talking about the way these people are treated. This looks like torture in many aspects.

The Geneva Conventions do not apply. The Taliban is a criminal organization. The Geneva Conventions apply to members of a recognized country's military participating in a declared war.
Nothing about Gitmo bothers me.

I personally think that just becasue the Geneva convention doesn't apply doesn't mean that we shouldn't hold some standards. although torture is an option once people are found guilty, there's no reason they should be held for so long without a trial. that's just not right.

Camp XRay is a travesty - it makes the US look like some banana republic. Anybody who cares about the US should be concerned about that camp. It's plain wrong.

I agree. Locking people up without trial is banana republic-like -- actually, it sounds like something the taliban could do.
