there are some right here on this board that say we already ahve Bin laden, and are saving him up for an october suprise, this is nothing more than laying down the ground work to minimize the impact that an eventual bin laden capture would have on an election. they will all say "i told you so" and down play it the same way the capture of saddam was downplayed. it is actually such a juvenille tactic by the left. ofcourse, if Kerry wins and OBL is captured under his presidency, he will be touted as the greatest president since George Washington by the parrots in the media who tow the party line. to answer your question, bin laden will be captured, the attention it recieves will depend onwho is president whenit happens

It's quite possible bin Laden will never be found by the U.S. while he's still alive. I actually agree with Trav on the point of Bush already having OBL: that's just a desperate, "Bush is bad even when he does good things" maneuver. Besides, I don't think Bush would have the patience to sit there with OBL in custody and not gloat. (Nothing against Bush on that point; I don't think I would be able to either.) OBL is very elusive...when we find him it may just be his dead body. Isn't he rumored to have kidney problems?

Osama has lived in the wilds of afghanistan for a long time, he is used to living in caves and sleeping on the ground. Saddam was used to living in palaces and being waited onhand and foot. it is a lot harder to catch a guy who is in his element and neighborhood. finding osama is a very hard task, much harder than finding saddam was.

I can think of a few presidents that were better then Washington. He was just an old rich general...and not a very good one at that.

It’s also a lot harder to catch two at once. The reason we caught Saddam faster was because we were focusing more on him and not Osama...;)

Overdose, there were just as much focus on Osama before Bush let him slip right through his fingers. I don't think he'll be found during Dumbya's presidency.

He'll never be found if we keep directing our energies to persecuting the Gays and sticking our noses into their bedrooms.
