my old floppy drive would say please insert floppy into floppy drive. i had someone take that one out and put in a different one. it still says please insert floppy into disk. anyone know why or how to fix this? thank you.

Well, we need more information. Like, when does it say this? When you turn on your computer? When you try to read a disk? When Mars and Venus are in alignment?

......you might want to consider putting a floppy disk in it....or does it just do this to do this?

disreguard my message now. my mom plugged in a plug in the back that was not plugged in and the floppy drive works fine now. thank you for your help.

the traditional "forgot to plug it in" routine....it's ok, it's happened to me before too.
