Guilty on all counts - max sentance 20 years behind bars.

Her company will be going bankrupt before long also.

For a woman with billions in the bank - it's sure suprising that she would be fussed over a $50K saving - her return on investment should be around negative 5000%

Don't they make chicks in prison do mud-wrestling & foxy boxing?

Yeah I would like to see some criminal charges brought against Ken Lay. I would garner to suspect that what Mr Lay did was much more harmful to people then what Ms. Stewart was involved in.

I said famous, celebrity types, not crooked CEO's, we have already put some of them away.

I think she will do some time - maybe 18 months or so.

She needs to go to jail - the cover up job she did & lack of accepting wrongdoing means she needs to do some time but Pepper is right about Ken Lay.

The government are going after this in a tone of Martha should be crucified on a cross - while real criminals (who impacted many many people) like Lay walk free

They're not letting Lay go free - they're still working on him. Although it seems that they're having trouble coming up with enough evidence to get decent charges against him.

Martha should not go to prison. She only did what most of the world would have done. She didn't hurt anyone or take anyone's money like the low-down crooks at Enron. Futhermore, the Enron documents were shredded to remove evidence of even BIGGER crooks being revealed. We all know who.

For the record, Martha broke the law. Therefore she is a criminal. A felon who deserves a prison sentence.

I think even in jail she will be living a more swelled life than I have been during the last 4 years of college in a tiny apartment on $4000 living expense for an entire year, every year. So even if she stays there for 10 yrs, its not too bad.

Just financially unsound. To say sucks would mean that generally I have more than 3 of below: am stupid + poor + no sex + no joy + no exceptional skill + hate my life in general + no friends + no freedom + get no respect (have a bad name) + have health problems + have serious family issues.

Many other college students at the same university can afford to spend more, but many have parents who help out very much. I have a father who gambled away the entire family fortune when I was young, so it's a matter of bad luck. I attended my university on full scholarship.

Dio,

Whatever it's worth to you, a lot of people appreciate people like you that have to bust their @$$ and work hard to get as far as you have gotten. My college life sounds somewhat similar to yours, as far as finances are concerned. I had to work and go to school full time and lived in a nasty, nasty apartment that was condemned a year after I left it. Good things will happen to you if you hang in there, woman!
