since i am watching it right now and i have noticed a couple people with sns and avatars related to it, i was wondering what people's favorite simpsons episodes were. mine has to be the lemon tree one. i know that isn't very original, but i love it. that is the first one that popped into my head. i know it is hard to pick though.

I enjoy the one with Mindy and Homer, although I haven't seen it in ages. When Homer joins Krusty College, and when they visit New York City (with the twin towers, don't know if you can see it anymore.)

Has anyone noticed a decline in the quality of Simpsons over the past 3-4 years? I used to be a really big fan, but now I can't stomach to watch them (the new episodes I mean).

the older eps, seem quicker, funnier, and have a better animated direction. Now I feel like I'm watching a animated sit-com. bleh!

Funny you should say that Pepper, I absolutely agree. In this past year at least, they just don't seem that clever anymore. But they are planning a movie, I heard.

My all-time favorite simpsons episode is the one where Frank Grimes comes to work at the power plant.

Other favorites include "$pringfield" (Springfield builds a casino), The "GABBO!" episode, Monty Burns runs for Governor, "Hullabalooza," and the power plant softball episode.

"Well Mr.Burns had done it.
The Power Plant had won it.
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while,
Mike Socia's tragic illness made us smile,
While Wade Boggs laid unconscious on the bar-room tile.

We're talking softball.
From Maine to San Diego.
Talking softball, Mattingly and Conseco,
Ken Griffy's grotesquely swollen jaw
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law,
We're talking Ho-mer.....Ozzy and the Straw."

Burns Verkauft Der Kraftwerk and the Homer in space episodes, for sure.

I think it went downhill badly about 4 years ago and rebounded a bit last year. It's no where near it's glory years (seasons 3-6) but it's still pretty good. Too many celebrities lately, though.
