as I have said before, there is nothing more the leftists love than a military person who speaks out against the military or embraces liberal ideals, it is the holy grail to them. why do you think they accepted Wesley Clark so fast? the guy was a bush republican only a short time before he became a democratic presidential nominee! Notice how the first thing they say about kerry is mention his military experience. you can search this board and see a hundred times where a known leftists says Kerrys military experience is important to them. it usually the first thing, and more often than not, the ony thing they do mention positive about the guy. the only reason I can see for this is GW' supposed AWOL non story, and its their way to point this out.
