Sony has dropped the price of Playstation 2 by $100 to be competative with the X-Box!
I'm not familiar with the US prices..
How much do the consoles now cost?
In Europe, it has been the other way around. Microsoft had to greately reduce the price of the X-Box from 480(!) € gradually to 300€. They didn't sell enough. LOL. The Playstation is at a price of 300€ since some months. And the Gamecube costs 200€.
I believe all game systems will be $200 before long!! I might get me a x-box or maybe a ps2..!!

Darren, everytime you post you dont include your email address lol.. You can read the responses right here! Its a message board.. Anyways I heard the news from Tech TV, usually pretty reliable.

The reason why i put my email address is to get to know people on a more private basis. Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to watch techTV more often.

X-BOX and Playstation have slashed prices and are now goin for $150 - $200!!!!!!!!!!!! I seen them at the mall and Target!

I heard about the price drop and i have to say... ?&$!. I got my PS2 in January. Oh well. I still am happy that I got one. I may get a GameCube soon. :D
