Is God omniscent and omnipotent?
(all knowing and all powerful)

Well, that's the basically definition of "God" in a linguistic sense. Otherwise, how would you define the word "God"? Defined any other way, this term loses its original usage intent, and another word shall be defined to describe "an omnipotent, omnipresent being".

If you're talking about the god recognized by the major monotheistic religions, I'd say yes, although being omnipotent doesn't mean that he always chooses to exercise that power.

Yes on both accounts.

Just thought it would be good to clear up this question before I start up an argument on if it's possible

You do of course realize that your answer produces several logical conundrums when applied to the Bible I hope. It should be interesting to see where WindWip goes with this.

If you seek the power of God look within yourself and see what your power could be if you did not have the enemy of a thinking mind that imposes self limits upon you.

p.s. The greatest religion is not a religion.

God is a creater, he created man, but man controls himself until he leaves this world. God is not there to baby sit every single thing that happens. Kind of like a person creates a fish tank, they can provide things and build a suitable environment but it is up to the fish to do as they need to survive. You can lead the horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
