Starting from four years ago every February I get allergy so severe I almost can't do anything right. Does anyone know of ways to soften the blows? Good medicine? Some gone old mysticism? Some exercise routine? Slow simmered beef shank drizzled with shredded cockroach eyeballs or some *#& like that? I am desperate.

Claritin (generic name: loratadine) worked for me, and it's now over-the-counter. But I'd recommend seeing your doctor about some kind of strong prescription.

There is an herbal remedy on the market called BREATHE FREE that's made for cold, sinus, etc. problems. I toss about a tablespoon of this product into a steaming sinkful of water, put a towel over my head and breathe the vapors for about 15 minutes or so. This works especially well for a sinus headache/migrane. You know those--the headaches that no tablet or caplet can cure.
BREATHE FREE contains fennel, chamomile, lavender, sambucous and a bunch of other good stuff for you.
I did find an E-bay auction for Breathe Free that's about $4.99.
GOOD LUCK! :)

There are hundreds of herbal remedies, pine needle tea is one that comes to mind. The problem is if your allergic to a certian plant then it would only screw you up more.
