For Christmas, I recieved the day-to-day calendar of "Bushisms" from one of my friends (who is also an AFN member) and thought that a few of these would be good to post here (also so Shammy can see them since politics seem to be his "fortay"). SOOOOO...at the end of every month, I will post what I think are the top four Bushisms (one from each week) and let you, the post viewers, vote on which one you think is the best bushism of the month and will compile the winners at the end of the year for a vote for the "Bushism of the year" award. I hope this gets many views, as I think it will be quite amusing for the ones I have come up with.....so now, i leave you to enjoy the Bushism's of January! Let's give our good ol' POTUS a little recollection of his own words.
#1 - Remarks to the Univ. of Nebraska women's Volleyball team, the 2001 national champions; Washington, D.C.; May 31, 2001
"So on behalf of a well-oiled unit of people who came together to serve something greater than themselves, congratulations."
#2 - South Bend, Indiana; September 5, 2002
"There's no doubt in my mind that we should allow the world worst leaders to hold America hostage, to threaten our peace, to threaten our friends and allies with the world's worst weapon."
#3 - Interview with the New York Times; January 14, 2001
"The California crunch really is the result of not enough power-generating plants and then not enough power to power the power of generating plants."
#4 - Interview with the Washington Post; March 9, 2001
"I suspect that had my dad not been president, he'd be asking the same questions: How'd your meeting go with so-and-so?...How did you feel when you stood up in front of the people for the State of the Union Address-State of the Budget address, whatever you call it."
------------
Now let's hear your vote and comments!! (voting will go until the Bushisms of February are posted).
