Here's two actual headlines from a small town newspaper in Iowa, near where I used to live.

There are three small tows in Iowa not too far from each other called Orchard, Fertile and Manly.

The first headline my mother told me about and has become something of a legend in that part of the state.

It seems a young couple from the area was about to get married and the announcement in the paper read:

Manly man marries Fertile woman"

When I was visiting my grandmother in Iowa several years ago my mother reminded me of the story, and seeing my somewhat disbelieving look showed me a current copy of the same paper which had this headline:

Orchard man killed by falling tree"
