I am really mad that i cant mod my Dell, im heavy into gaming and I need to update my video card. Playing counter strike and stuff on a 16 bit card is kinda ok but Halo and Warcraft 3 and Doom 3 is impossible, any suggestions?

Well that depends on how your Dell is set up.

My Dell (ick, I hate Dell) happens to have an AGP slot, so I am saved. You may or may not. Look at your mobo to see if you do or not:

If you do, you're home free. Buy any commercially available video card within your price range, like a Radeon 9600 or a GeForce FX 5600. Plug it in (possibly going into your BIOS and disabling onboard video, if that's what's on), and go!

If you don't, big problem. You'll have to find a PCI video card. These are much harder to find and generally are older technology. Still, it's quite doable. Buy the card (this will require a bit of shopping around), install it, disable onboard if that's what you use, and go!

I recommend Price Watch (http://www.pricewatch.com) for all your computer purchases.

Any questions, feel free to PM/email me or ask in this thread! :)
