When I was in the Military, I used to LOVE when we went to the field. Sometimes we would go on field assignments deep in the forest and would stary for months at a time. Some of the most exciting times I can recall were in the field (especially during the winter months). I could stay outside sleeping under snowbanks for weeks at a time without any signs of illness whatsoever. Now, it seems like every time the tempetarure changes, I keep either catching a cold, or keep getting stuffy noses all the time.
WTF is wrong with my immune system and why does this happen? :o

As you age your immune system ages too and slows down. It can't handle stuff thrown at it like it did even 10 years ago. It's just a fact of life.
Try drinking more orange juice or taking Vitamin C. That helps boost your immune system or talk to your doctor about what you can do to.
This isn't a crack about old people,it's a fact. Ask your doctor. Even I've noticed I can't shake small things like a cold anymore and I'm only 31.

Regular exercise and drinking water are helpful as well as Vit C as Michelle suggested.
Do you have allergies? Mine have worsened here lately compared to how they used to be.

You enjoyed field trips in Germany? Not for me, thanks.
Push Vitamin C. Wash your hands more often.

Wash your hands more often.
or use hand sanitizer. And if you know someone is sick stay away from them unless it's impossible, like your spouse or kids.

I know why I get sick!!
It's called "coming to work".
A deadly, cruel disease.

Terminal as well.
Symptoms include rectal glaucoma, for those days when you just can't see your ass at work.

Wash your hands before eating. Take "Airborne" as soon as you feel a cold coming on. Don't over do the cold medicine, give your body a chance fight own its own. That will strengthen your immune system.

Coffee never killed anybody!
NOT drinking coffee--well, I just wouldn't do it.
PS. Are you getting enough sleep???? A body can never catch too many zzzzz's, especially at work. Take it from someone who knows.

Add Echinacea to the list of with the vitamin C. I had a tick borne illness one time and a friend who is a doc recommend the two together to rebuild my immune system. It works.

or use hand sanitizer.
Hand sanitizer is an AMAZING invention, especially in the field. I just would like to throw that out there.

I make my daughters keep some at school and use it. My youngest can't use the soap the school has,it makes her hands all red and start cracking.
And neither of them are ever really sick either,so there must be something to it.

Stress causes your immune system to weaken and can make you sick. I have been under stress lately and I just got sick. Vitimin c is awesome I use this stuff called Superior C by Country Life. It has Bioflavoids and grape skin in it these are great for a qiuck recovery. I am already feeling better and I have only been sick 3 days. I only took one superior pill I was out so, I just got them today. I am starting to feel like mother earth.
