He wants Israel destroyed, denies the Holocaust, executes gays and calls 9/11 'suspicious' — now, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to chat up the pope.
Looking for pointers from the Pontiff? (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,358922,00.html)

"looking for pointers"?
I am not sure what you are trying to say here.
Are you saying the Pope shares his opinions about Israel and 9-11?

Uh, yeah...that's it. Moron.

Nothing - I just find it terribly ironic that Ahmadinejad is hungry for a pointless conversation with people who he'd rather see dead.

Hmmm right. Ahmad is a frontman in Iran, (a country whos tactics I have no time for).
He wishes to open diplomatic channels with world leaders, then I say go for it.
When he recently visited the US, Bush declined an open debate with him, which was maybe fair, a more intelligent politician as President should someday debate and argue down Irans extremeists, if they believe they can.

Interesting that you think it would be difficult.

Interesting that you think it would be difficult.
Why is that. Ya know the world doesnt view itself thru American eyes.
No doubt Iran would argue that if Israel has nukes, why cant they.
No doubt Iran would argue that if the US has influence in Iraq, why cant they.
Ya know, the Iranians seem to want parity with other countries, thats how I think they see it.

I don't expect them to; I expect them to be logical and rational enough to USE their eyes. We (the West) have been prosperous - they haven't, hence whose "model" do you think should be followed - ours or theirs? Hmmmm.....I wonder? :@@:
I'd like to know who the retards are that struggle with that question. Oh, wait....I forgot - they're called draconian thugs and communists.
No doubt Iran would argue that if Israel has nukes, why cant they.
Well, primarily, because Israel hasn't ever threatened (or even mentioned) wiping anyone off the map (and nor have they despite them possessing nukes for 30 + years), whereas Ahmadinejad has. That's why that crazy, Muslim degenerate shouldn't be able to possess nuclear weapons. Is that such a fuckin' stretch?!?
No doubt Iran would argue that if the US has influence in Iraq, why cant they.
Okay, fine - what "help" can you offer Iraq, Ahmadinejad? For that matter, what help have you ever offered anyone? Which countries have you bailed out in the past? How many countries have you liberated? How many have you made financially successful, independent models of peace and democracy? You're not on par with us, you whack job, so stop acting like you're entitled to what we are.

Parity is earned, and so far they haven't earned shit.

Is it as simple as 'ours or theirs'. The present Iranian Administration is, to say the least, unsavoury, tho no doubt the west created it thru supporting the shah, that said, if these type of countries wanna live with their stone age lifestyle, fuckem, let them, as long as they dont infringe on our lifestyle.
We need to look closer at home regards this.
Israel, the Israelis would shoot a nuke at Iran just as quick as they would, what do ya do, keep supporting one side, or try disarming both.
Well, primarily, because Israel hasn't ever threatened to wipe anyone off the map, whereas Ahmadinejad has. That's why that crazy, Muslim degenerate shouldn't be able to possess nuclear weapons. Is that such a fuckin' stretch?!?
No its not such a stretch (if I have the term correct), tho Israel isnt influenced by America, it does its own thing. What happens when Jewish extremeists gain control ?

Looking at Iran from a western perspective, fair enough. Tho from an Iranian point maybe who knows.
I must confess I have a dislike of Muslims, not a hatred, but a dislike.
I dont like their arrogant attitude to everything western, that ticks me off.

Don't go looking for things that aren't there. "Looking for pointers from the Pontiff" was merely a catchy phrase (IMO) for a link.
I imagine that what the Pope might have to say is probably what the Iranian Prez should be hearing from the religious leaders in his own country - no war, diplomacy rather than conflict & human rights - to name but a few topics.

He (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) wants Israel destroyed.....
That statement has nothing to back it up.
IOW, you are making an allegation for which there is no substantiation.
And.....you're a rightwinger.
But I digress.

You'd be lying in a pile of pieces before the "evidence" you require to question his character is satisfied, and even then, I'm not so sure.
But.....then again, you're a leftwinger, so I suppose I'm guilty of repeating myself here, you pedantic mass of existential impotence.

I was not talking about questioning his or anyone else's "character".
I was pointing out that there is no evidence that he --as was claimed-- wants Israel destroyed.
