The voters knew this already, and they all kind of winked at each other.
Pelosi and Reid's total inaction is the proof.

I think he is right about something, that before the election everybody knew that the Democrats were not going to get a fillibuster-proof majority in that one election, and everyone knew that the Republicans were going to spend all their time obstructing progress and fillibustering against everything regarding the war so that nothing gets done. Which is exactly what the Republicans have done.

We are also well aware that this is the election where the Democrats will get the fillibuster proof majority and things can finally start to happen. We are also well aware that the Democrats are not guarenteed to do what we want once elected, which is why so many of us have been busy building a foundation of grassroots progressive citizen lobbying groups all across the country.
