Written by Richard Lourie. I found the story to be extremely interesting and it was very enjoyable. In the story, we follow a young boy named Joop, who is living in Holland during World War 2. Food supplies are short, so in order to survive his family has to improvise and eat odd concoctions, such as tulip bulb soup. (hence the name of the book) In order to provide for his family, Joop sets in motion a chain reaction that leads to the infamous capture of Anne Frank and her family.

It's a good book and it's a short read, less than 200 pages. I highly recommend it.
