My doctor is recommending I take some Human Growth Hormones, specifically 0.2mg of the Genotropin every other day. He said my IGF level is not that low, but a 2 to 3 month treatment would do my body good like lower cholestoral, lose some belly, fat, etc. etc.

I'm 38 by the way.

Have any of you men tried this?

Well is not for height at my age. When the bones "close up", the you can't grow anymore.

My nephew has to have those. But then again he's only 7 and the dr thinks he's too small.

Do they take into fact the parents height and weight before making that judgement???

That's what I told my sis in law to ask about. My brother doesn't quite reach 6 foot and my sis in law is lucky if she's my height. My nephew wasn't gaining weight like a normal toddler (wth is normal anymore?) so at first they took his tonsils and adenoids which almost killed him then they put him on this high protien drink and finally they started him on the Growth Hormone, which he's gained weight with, but now he's short and pudgy, which isn't going to be cute when he's a teen and self concious.

X man is on the small side. Poor lil guy is still in 12 month pants and he's a few weeks shy of 2!!! But I'm 5ft and D is 5'9/5'10. I have small features and D can eat anything he wants and not gain a pound. So I don't expect my son to ever be "big". We do give him pedisure in the mornings and it has seemed to help a bit.

Both my girls were small, tall but really skinny. Their dads side of the family are all 6 foot and taller except for his mom and my side is mixed height and weight. My oldest is taller than me and my youngest probably will be too. But neither are what I'd call "big". Just tall.

I'm 5'5" and I'm only 21! Give me some of this HGH! My height is seriously a problem with a decent portion of the female population.

Wouldn't be with me. I just want someone taller and that isn't hard for me!

Well, that's the problem! Most gals want someone taller and I'm not exactly Wilt Chamberlain.
