i was pretty much in agreance with this list untill the top 2.....firehouse, ugly kid joe and steelheart belong on this list before poison and skid row.

i seems they have something against reality TV... Brett and Sebastian suffered on the list because of it.

I agree,most of those bands I grew up with and love them. But LF is right,if not for those horrible shows,Poison and Skid Row may not have been on the list at all.

Funny story about him though,yes this really happened too,about 6 years ago my older brother and sister in law went to a Battle of Bands in Mt. Clemens to support a friend of ours who was in the Battle and Sebastian Bach was one of the judges. They asked me to watch their kids and my sis in law borrowed a small purse of mine and said she'd get it autographed by Sebastian Bach for me. She got it signed all right.....to herself:lolhit:
She said that when he asked her who he was autographing the purse for she said Marisa instead of Michelle without thinking. Needless to say,I let her keep the purse.

I dont really get this list. I mean take Poison...who has sold millions. What exactly makes someone a bad hair band??? Selling millions and having tons of fans??

Maybe it was the reality show but I still blast their cds every now and then!

You know, funny thing, I hated Poison when I was a kid. They seemed like such an artificial hair band, so contrite and made-up... And Unskinny Bop is a total fucking nightmare of a song. But then Rock of Love came along, and my image of Brett Michaels is changed. He really does a good job in that show!!! In all that chaos with all those women, I think he keeps an even keel, seems to get along with everyone and just has a really cool demeanor.

Back to the list, I disagree about Extreme and More Than Words. I also think White Lion was pretty good. "Wait" is a pretty rockin song, imo!

I can't let my daughter (8yrs old) watch MTV or VHI now for music videos because of these overly sexual shows. She likes America's next top model, but I have to forward through even the commercial for those god awful "of Love" shows, because they are just so low in terms of taste.

Has any one seen the movie Idiocracy? These two shows are definitely a sign of it.

Brett Michaels does seem like quite a nice, normal guy. Not exactly the brightest crayon in the box though. :p

Oh yes, and MTV wasn't overly sexual at all in 1982 with all the stuff from Madonna and Duran Duran creating controvery after controvery with their videos!! I don't think videos were ever designed with 8 year olds in mind.

It was the Long Branch SALOON and Sam, the guy with the dyed black hair, was Kitty's BARTENDER.
Kitty COULDA won it in a card game..she was pretty good at poker--did you see the epidosode where she cheats the bad guys out of all their loot with her marked cards.
