It would be nice if some of the more extreme elements of society did learn something from this, but they're too focused on their hatred of gays to ever admit that gays are people too.

Of course J. Edgar was a closet queen. Where do you suppose the over-compensation came from as he persecuted & prosecuted them at every turn? Would't the media have a circus with him today?
