Here's a 10 year old boy that was arrested after letting the police into his home.

They shouldn't be that loud, but the punishment didn't fit the crime, (http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/city/story.html?id=172329a0-76bd-4ed5-90d9-9024d31077b6)

I know the police training in Ottawa is bad. Last fall I had two uniforms at my door at 2:00 am wanting to see my 13 year old daughter and when I ask why they said they only wanted to do this once, and her trainer said my daughter did nothing wrong so don't worry about it. I said no unless you tell me whats this about, and they refuse. I told them to go away, leave and I shut the door.

They started to really bang hard on the door and it frightened me knowing I have two guns, two stun guns, two baton's knocking on my door. My wife got Lynsey up and dressed up a bit and put her out side with the police.

I was wanting to wait to see if they stormed the house but I didn't get my chance. The next day when the detectives came by I ask if that was normal but declined to make the complaint against the newbie cop or her trainer.

Here if a cop wants to see my 13 year old at 2 in the morning they better not only have a damn good reason but a warrant too.
Also disturbing the peace doesn't normally involve placing a kid under arrest unless theres more involved.
Just goes to show the difference between our police systems I guess.

Its definatley was wierd and to think they thought she might have been raped a few day's before.

That's still no reason to come to your door at 2 in the morning and demand to see your daughter.

Well I only excused them and was not demanding an apology because I'm not very good at suing anyone or wanting to destroy someones careers. Thats just being a good person.

Actually, that's being a doormat.

The trainer's career should have been ruined. If not, he/she will continue training rookies incorrectly to think they are huns rather than civil servants.

The reasons to not visit Canada keep piling up. First their food workers don't have to wash their hands, Second, there is no free speech guarantee. Now, their police act like Nazis.

You know, theres a fine line between being a good person and standing up for yourself.
You were woken at 2 in the morning with a hot to trot cop at your door demanding to see your child and not telling you why. Filing a complaint is not suing the cop,it's saying "Hey,you screwed up and I'm pointing it out"
It doesn't always have to come down to suing anyone or ruining a career. You won't have to because by letting this go you are letting this happen to another family and believe me,they probably won't be so lenient.

True I'm scared of the police and remain silent because I know it would be my death if I argued. I won't lie Canada's police has more shit stains than toilet paper and we live in fear of them.
