I also printed this same story in another forum, then cut and pasted it here as well...

For those that do, in the May edition, there is a rather Racist article called "The Chinese" that depicts a Chinese restaurant run by Chinese "Cannibals" that were serving everything from Cats, to Skinned Vultures, to Dog intestines. The star patron was a Columbo type guy in a long trench coat that came in, got fed up with the menu, and decided to go in the kitchen where he was attacked by these so-called "Savages". He ended up shooting up the place and killed everyone inside with the exception of the waitress that he conked in the head with his pistol and knocked her head against a lage gong, thus knocking her unconsius. Even the three guys that greeted him at the door that kept saying "Welcome to Chop Chop Suey" over and over again throughout the whole story were shot dead.

Although I know it was meant to be made for sheer humor, I would think that something like this would be extremely offensive to most Chinese Americans, and could get the editors at Heavy Metal editors in a lot of Hot Water don't you think?.

I use to get it as well. I still like the movie, even though it's not very Christian.
Although the 2000 movie sucked in my opinion.

Heavy Metal is like the Mad T.V of fantasy magazines. They're not tame about anything. The thing I didn't like about the magazine was ending a story one month and not seeing the continuation of that same story in next months edition. You'd have to wait 2 or 3 months to actually finish a story.

Find out who the author of the story is and get a bunch of people together to write the guy. Let him know his kind of writing isnt appreciated.
Only problem I see is the author himself being Chinese. As the magazine takes it's stories from many an artist from anywhere in the world.
