Hi everyone, I think that every person has his right to live in a society no matter even if he was a prisoner in his early life. Most of the prisoners are racial or ethnic minorities and have difficulty in re-entering the society as they are faced with poverty and this leads to crime for which they are re-arrested are convicted and re-incarcerated and this adds a burden on the government in respect of tax-payers. What are your views on this?

Hi everyone, I think that every person has his right to live in a society no matter even if he was a prisoner in his early life.

So do I. Who's sending paroled criminals to Saturn?

Most of the prisoners are racial or ethnic minorities and have difficulty in re-entering the society as they are faced with poverty

That's unfortunate, but not something we have any control over. What do you recommend? Give every paroled criminal $20,000 to start a new life outside bars?

and this leads to crime for which they are re-arrested are convicted and re-incarcerated

Nobody is forced to break the law. You reap what you sow.

and this adds a burden on the government in respect of tax-payers.

On this point, at least, I can agree with you. One solution is to make prisons as self-sustaining as possible. That means prisoners work for their three hots and a cot - growing and processing their own food, making license plates for the state, doing laundry for hospitals and retirement homes, working for the county on outside gangs doing road repair, clean-up of disaster areas, fighting fires, whatever.
