You know, my retarded cousin used to structure his sentences just like you did here, but then, amazingly enough, we found him some help. Through careful training and patience, he learned by his twelfth birthday to differentiate the possessive form of the word, "your", from the contraction, and the kicker is - he's SEVERELY impaired.
My point? Don't be embarrassed by your deficiencies; if you need access to information that can help you, then shoot me a PM, and I'll send you some instructional material for the mentally challenged. It's a fun package that consists of coloring books, puzzles, and whatnot - so I think you'll find it plenty entertaining AND mentally stimulating.
I mean, if there's hope for my severely (and by that, I do mean severely) retarded cousin, then there's gotta be hope for you too, right?
Stay positive, champ! Help is only a few keystrokes away. :)
The funny part is that you understood it and proved me right!

Actually you are not at all down the list. You are one of the rudest posters at Allforums, dharmabum. You don't know the difference between discussing an issue and insulting other posters.

Yew can always tell who reeds literature regularly and who doesn't, buy the people who regularly fuck up there homophones. Sure, every once inn a wile, each and every won of us will git a wire crossed in are brains and type "your" instead of "you're". 95% of the time I correct it within too seconds. 4.5% of the time it'll slip into my post and I'll catch it on the re-reed. The remainder, it'll sneak in their and hang out four a wile. Butt it's definitely a good indicator of how much a person reeds, because homophones our something that won only gets incite into threw the written word.
You understood it also and your so smart, I am impressed. By the way do use proper grammer text messaging to your friend?

For what it's worth, I think text messaging is a waste of time. Why try to hack out a short message on a telephone keypad when you could just as easily call the person with the phone you're holding and talk to them? On the couple of occasions I have sent a text message, though, I did make sure I was using proper spelling, capitalization, and grammar. Probably unnecessary, but how people perceive you is very important. You might want to consider that.

Thanks for the reply.
My kids, as with most these days, text contiuosly it is hard to decipher the language they use to speed up the process. The point being, perfect grammer is not needed to communicate and as such I have never taken it seriously.
How people perceive you should be about the content not the grammer or spelling.
You might want to consider that

You are quite correct in saying that perfect grammar is not necessary to communicate with others. Of course, without it you run the risk of not being taken seriously, yourself. Which is no skin off anyone's nose but your own.

And some people claim I am rude. Dharma: I agree with you more than many posters on these fora (nice, Prae). Especially when you take the time to prepare somthing like the piece you did on what being a liberal means to you - which everyone accused you of plagarizing - but you didn't. But deeper into the threads you tend to shoot from the hip with a bunch or ad hoc retorts which are, simply put, rude. A lot of "I know you are but what am I" kind of stuff. You are by no means not the only one. SMW aka DAB (sorry, rude of me) and Foolie come to mind.

You are absolutely right Fluff, I am definately not perfect, but I don't think I am anywhere near the worst offender on the board either. I make an effort to be polite most of the time, but I have gotten pissed at responses or let someone get under my skin and I have certainly gotten rude in the past, just like everyone else.
Everyone on here gets rude at one point or another but certain people seem to do it more often than not, and unfortunately for the most part those people go completely unchallenged. (oh, Im sorry they are supposedly challenged in secret)

To show my graciousness, I'll refrain from posting any further comments on the merits of various classic movies that send certain people into paroxysms of fear.
Thanks again for showing me the error of my ways.....and can you kindly, please, someday tell us all of the true artistic, yet psychologically chilling, merit of "Earth vs the Spider" so the next time I watch it, I can see it for the true masterpiece that it is.
Thanks again and God bless.
