On the midnight of December 21, 2003, a case of rape with violence took place in ¡°Rolling Stone¡± pub of Zhuahai, China. According to witnesses, 8 men pushed a girl toward a sofa and raped her with violence in front of 200 people. When criminals were trying to run away, policemen arrived and captured them.

According to witness Mr. Tao, about 2:40am, in the hall of ¡°Rolling stone¡± pub, 8 men somehow suddenly pushed over a girl on the hall sofa. ¡°4 of them were standing surround, and moreover 4 men took away that girl¡¯s cloth, one man raped the girl.¡± ¡°at that time, about 200 people were in the pub¡± Mr. Tao told reporter, ¡°with scoundrel¡¯s despotic power, all 200 did not dare to act and help the victim. ¡°the entire process continued about 5 minutes.¡±

8 men ran out the pub hall and blocked 2 cabs to run away. ¡°I noticed that one cab¡¯s license plate is 275*5, another one starts with 3.¡± Tao says. When criminals were leaving, the raped girl ran out. She stood in front of the 275*5 cab and wanted to stopped them leaving. At this moment, the security of ¡°Rolling Stone¡± walked to girl, pushed her away and let the two cabs pass though. Girl took out the cell phone to call the policemen, and also got a cab pursuing escaping criminals. When cabs approached Wanjia department store, 110 policemen arrived and completed captured all 8 criminals.

Within 200 people¡¯s eyes, how could criminals dare to make this happen in a public place of China? There are only 8 people, 200 people¡¯s power is much larger than 8 people¡¯s, why they didn¡¯t go forward to prevent, at least they could take a cell phone to report to police!! But one of them did it!! Why this kind of thing could be taken place in China?

This article doesn't really provide enough information. I could easily see this happening in the USA if, for instance, the 8 men were armed and the 200 weren't. Also, the 200 people were not even interviewed. What if they had no idea what was going on. What if the girl looked like she was having a good time, and it was simply a wild club where people sometimes had sex in the open. This article is very difficult to judge.
