Here are the games i am most looking forward to this year:

Dawn of War 2 (not yet officailly announced, but already known about, may not be coming out until 2009)

Empire: Total War - a new game in the Total War franchise that takes place in Napoleonic times, including naval battles

Operation Flashpoint 2

NCAA College football 2009

Fallout 3

I am sure there are at least 2 more that I have forgotten about. Anyone else like any of these, or have some others you are looking forward to?

I just started playing Sins of a Solar Empire.

So far, so good.

Starcraft 2...the messianic return.

I am hoping Dawn of War 2 will crush starcraft 2. I know it will not happen, but I am guessing it will be a better game. It is basically just Warhammer 40k units in the Company of Heroes engine, and the COH engine is the best RTS engine ever. Besides, Starcraft races are just rip offs of Warhammer 40k units anyway. The Space marines are space marines, the zerg are just Tyranids. Actually I heard Starcraft 2 was supposed to be a 40k game to begin with, but Games Workshop pulled out for some reason and Blizzard just left the units the same. I bet games Workshop is kicking themselves for doing that.
